Alex has worked as a lawyer for numerous multinationals but more recently Alex has been concentrating on 10MillionMetres; a life-changing endurance project, the formation of which was encouraged as a consequence of him being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2008.
Before the end of 2014, the 10MillionMetres Challenge will take him more than 6,200 miles around the world, encompassing some of the world’s more interesting and dangerous races. Alex will be running, cycling, swimming, walking or, if necessary, crawling the distance with the intent to raise more than £1Million for research into Parkinson’s disease. Highlights so far include the 2010 Marathon des Sables, running more than 135 miles across the Bavarian Alps and in 2011 traversing 1457 miles from London to Rome in 30 days, as well as marathons, Ironman and Olympic Triathlons.
His last challenge was a truly epic 3256 mile traverse of the USA from Santa Monica to New York City, becoming the first to complete the crossing by riding, climbing, running and kayaking this monster of a route in 35 days while all the time fighting against the relentless progression of the disease on his own body. A disease which, currently, has no cure!
Alex’s story remains an incredible feat of human courage and determination. The, ideals, passions, goals and dreams he holds are no different from ours and he is a living example of human perseverance against the odds.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND TESTIMONIALS
"Inspiring is an understatement. This guy is one of a kind.. I hold my head high and state that he is one of the worlds most inspiring people. Humble, seriously humble yet with a gift- pure belief in himself and everyone around him- but not the kind of belief that you assume- this is superhuman belief.
Alex Flynn has a challenge on his hands- living with Parkinson’s is not only one of the toughest human challenges to face, but this guy believes so much in life, that he is willing to go to the ends of the earth to show the world around him that no matter what challenge you have, no matter how much pain you are in and no matter how much sweat is required to achieve your vision, you can do it, and if you are willing to just put 2 steps forward, Alex shows you that EVERYTHING is possible.
I connected with Alex whilst on his mission to raise 1 million pounds for his cause- 10 million metres which is raising money and awareness for finding a cure to Parkinson’s and I immediately got swept into wanting to help Alex achieve this dream. What made it all so much more inspiring, was that the way that Alex shares his story…he shares it from the heart, and the passion shows- I immediately left from our 1st encounter feeling unstoppable, because it dawned on me that if Alex can win his race whilst he is running it with Parkinson’s, anyone on the planet can achieve anything…
The fact is that Alex believes you can… The question is, do you?
No matter what you do, what company you run or what vision you have- do what it takes to speak to this man… You will thank me for the rest of your life"
